Setting the clock

I noticed today that I’ve been keeping my watch on Eastern standard time, even though it’s been three weeks since arriving in the Midwest.  I think subconsciously I’m still living in my East coast world, pretending to myself that I’m going to be back there before long.  I’ve even had recurring dreams about working at my former job!  Why is it we have such a tough time feeling at home in new surroundings?

I had better get used to transition quick- just 14 days till setting foot in China!
